San Francisco: Corazón del Tiempo, film's SF premiere

A rare and intimate journey into the heart of the Zapatista uprising in Chiapas, Mexico.
Nominated for five Ariel Awards in Mexico, the film follows Sonia, a young woman who is about to marry. Her father has already delivered a dowry to the family of the groom. But when Sonia falls for a Zapatista militant, her family, her community and the Zapatistas themselves must negotiate the sticky terrain between age old social conventions and emerging social realities.
Q and A with producers Alberto Cortés and Ana Solares follows the screening.
The film runs 90 minutes and will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles on a 35 mm print.
